Sul Ross State University was created by an act of the Texas legislature in 1917 and named for Lawrence Sullivan Ross, governor of Texas. Students started attending Sul Ross State in 1920. The main campus is situated in the Big Bend region and is the primary institution of higher education serving a 19-county area in far West Texas. SRSU has Rio Grande College branch campuses in Uvalde, Del Rio, Eagle Pass and Castroville. The Alpine campus enrolls approximately 2,000 students with over 30 degree options.

Class sizes at Sul Ross State are small, guaranteeing a high level of personal attention from instructors and the university’s support staff.  NMUsig-colorNorthern Michigan University (NMU) located in Marquette, Michigan, is a public, comprehensive university with approximately 9,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Founded in 1889, the school offers 147 degree programs, including 25 graduate programs.

NMU now accepts the iTEP Academic Plus exam for purposes of international admissions with a required score of 3.7 for undergraduates. The University will begin using iTEP exams for placement/assessment testing in their English Language Institute in 2016.
